Therapy for Children with Feeding and Swallowing Difficulties
Mealtimes are meant to be moments of nourishment and connection, but when feeding or swallowing feels stressful, confusing, or worrying, it can affect the whole family. We’re here to walk alongside you. Our Feeding & Swallowing Therapy supports children and caregivers with compassionate, evidence-informed care that builds on each child’s strengths and supports safe, positive participation in everyday meals.
What Is Feeding & Swallowing Therapy?
Our Feeding & swallowing therapy helps children develop the skills, comfort, and confidence needed to eat and drink safely and successfully. This includes how children explore food, manage textures, coordinate chewing and swallowing, and participate in mealtimes in ways that feel positive and meaningful for them.
Many children experience feeding and swallowing challenges at different points in development. These can show up as difficulty taking or transitioning to a bottle, challenges moving from purees to solid foods, limited acceptance of new textures or food groups, or trouble taking in enough volume to meet nutritional needs. Some children may gag, cough, refuse meals, or become overwhelmed during feeding, while others may tire quickly or struggle to coordinate chewing and swallowing. These experiences can be stressful and confusing for families, and they’re more common than many caregivers realize. We meet children where they are, building on their strengths while supporting the skills and confidence needed to make eating feel safer, easier, and more enjoyable over time.
Feeding is about more than calories – it’s about routines, relationships, sensory experiences, and independence. Our work focuses on supporting all those pieces together, not in isolation.

What this service may include:
Supporting safe swallowing and oral motor skills
Expanding comfort with textures, tastes, and smells
Building positive mealtime routines and participation
Reducing stress around eating and mealtime
Plus collaborating with families to support progress at home.
